Snaresbrook CC v Grace's CC, 18 July 2004

Grace's won the toss and batted on a warm sunny day. Page and Stockinger opened the batting but struggled against the Asian pace attack of Afridi and Kashif. The opening baler Hammed was late, but once he arrived he was put on to bowl, and proceeded to clean up the Grace's batting line-up. Thanks again to another smashing innings of 95 by Hope, Grace's eventually scored a challenging 188 all out from 32 overs, with Hope sharing a 43 partnership with Shofiq and a 56 partnership with Bielby once more.

In reply Snaresbrook wilted against the relentless bowling attack of Shofiq and Curitis, both taking two wickets apiece whilst Bielby claimed three wickets from his six overs to prove his all-round playing ability. Hope joined in the action with a great stumping off Bielby and also a fine take behind the wicket off the bowling of Curtis. Finally Page came on to bowl and took one wicket in 3 balls for no runs. It was an impressive display from Grace's.
